Herpetological photographs, 1938-1966.

Photographs documenting Charles M. Bogert collecting snakes, lizards, toads, turtles, skunks, and other animals in Mexico, Arizona, New Mexico, California, and Florida. Also, museum studio prints of snake skeletons and skulls, Southwestern Indian ceremonies, cowboys at work, plants, and mountains. Photographs were taken by Charles M. Bogert of the Dept. of Herpetology, Thane L. Bierwert, Frank Puza, Robert Elwood Logan, and Leon Boltin. Some photographs might have been taken during vacations, others taken during field trips organized for collecting museum hall specimens. Photographs are identified.
